Common
As the name suggests, these cards are the most common ones in the game. Every time you open a booster pack, you’ll find 6 of these types of cards, sporting an icon of a grey circle.
Don’t let the name fool you, though. Common cards have always lent a helping hand to every kind of TCG player. Let’s look at an example:
A card like Archimedes is a common with no abilities, but it’s also a 1-cost card that you can bring out on your first turn and help you earn Lore the next.
UNCOMMON
Denoted by a white book icon, this card rarity is a step up from your regular commons. Now, some of them are good, some of them not so much. It really depends on what you value as a player and what you’re building your deck around.
RARE

Now we’re getting to the good stuff. Rares have the bronze triangle as their symbol and sport some amazing abilities. Hades, King of Olympus (with a sweet hairdo) gets more and more Lore with every villain you play. Other times, they’re simply really big and really strong like Maui, Demigod!
But if Rares are coloured bronze… what’s silver and gold?
SUPER RARE

There’s rare, and then there’s SUPER RARE. Find a silver diamond on your card and you’re looking at some really strong cards with some wild game-changing abilities.
LEGENDARY

There’s Super Rare, and then there’s LEGENDARY. The gold pentagon that tells you that these cards are the cream of the crop. The best of the best. You’ve literally hit gold. These tend to be the cards that you can resell, and are what collectors chase to add to their collection. If you ever want to let some of these go, you can sell them to us at Good Games!
ENCHANTED RARE

The prettiest cards in the bunch with a rainbox hexagon. Eagle-eyed readers will note that Enchanted Rares aren’t part of the regular booster pack breakdown. That’s because unlike Rare, Super Rare, or Legendary, there is no guarantee that you’ll pull an Enchanted Rare in a pack. But that’s okay! Enchanted Rare is more of a special aesthetic treatment rather than a rarity type.
Plus, Enchanted Rares are based on existing cards in a given set.
JUDGING VALUE
Judging a Lorcana card’s value can be tricky. One way to do it is to look up a card online and see how much people value a particular card. Market prices show how much people are willing to pay for a certain card, whether it’s because of how rare it is, or how powerful it is in the metagame.
Speaking of which, another way is to check how a card can affect the game.
