The Gundam Card Game is a TCG featuring characters and mobile suits from the anime series! Whether you’re an avid TCG player looking to jump into a new challenge or a big fan of mecha anime wanting to collect them all, everyone has something to love.

The core mechanics of the game has you use a combination of Gundams and pilots in a 50-card deck to destroy your opponent’s shields (which are like your life points). The synergy between pilots, Gundams, commands, and bases are key to grabbing victory from your opponent.

You’ll get to crack open packs, learn how to play the game, and see the start of this brand new TCG! Think of it as a prerelease (but way more exclusive!) Ability-wise, this spoiler card is pretty on par with the trusty Sergeant Tibbs – Courageous Cat from The First Chapter. The only difference is that Michael has the Pirate classification opening the way to some fun combos with other potential cards.

So far, as the set name suggests, Azurite Sea will have huge potential for nautical combos. As more spoiler cards trickle out we’ll be able to see what potential there is for Michael Darling to gain edge over Sergeant Tibbs!

If you decide to build a Pirate Deck, Jim Hawkins Honorable Pirate helps amp up card drawing if you have a solid amount of Pirates in your deck. It’s great to see that as Disney Lorcana grows its card database, we’re finally seeing card classifications come into use more.

Azurite Sea will be available at most Good Game stores on 15 November, and everywhere else 22 November 2024. Stock levels for Disney Lorcana have improved drastically in Australia, but secure your boosters by preordering. You can do so by preordering online or at your local Good Games store!

Rules Enforcement Level

Store Qualifiers will be run at Competitive Rules Enforcement Level. This means that players will be required to register a deck list for the event.

Store Qualifiers must be run under the following tournament rules. It is important to note that if you choose to run Sealed Format, then there should be a Top 8 Booster Draft for events with more than 8 players. This may inflate the entry fee for sealed events.

In addition to any prizes each store might add to their prize pool, there are some great promos that we will be sending out to stores to give out as prizes!

Lorcana Store Championships are tournaments that happen at select local games stores, including Good Games, where players from all around come in and compete with their constructed (pre-built) Lorcana decks.

If you’ve wanted to see where your skills stack up against the other Lorcana players in your community, this is the place to be.

It’s different from store to store, but it’s safe to say that these are more casual than a world championship, but more competitive than your weekly event. That’s because these happen only once per store with the release of a new set, with prizes you can’t get anywhere else.

The Top 8 Players get promo cards exclusive to this set release. Plus, the top two players get a one-of-a-kind playmat (with the #1 getting the CHAMPION playmat of course.)

Plus, stores usually give out extra boosters for additional prizing. Good Games stores usually give away additional prizes based on where you rank, so make sure to do your best!

To play in a Lorcana Store Championship all you need is a deck of Lorcana TCG cards.

Here are the basic rules for building a Lorcana deck.

• Minimum 60-card deck:
  You can go over 60, but I don’t recommend it unless you know exactly what you’re doing.
• Maximum of 4 copies per card:
  Cards like 99 Dalmatians are the exemption!
• Maximum of 2 ink colours:
  Find the best combination that works for your strategy.

From there, you can build whatever kind of deck you want. It helps to look up strategies online to see what others are doing, and see if they work for you (or how you can beat them!)

You’ll also need to create a Deck List. For official tournaments, you’ll have to fill out a form like this. Just list out the cards that’s in your deck and how many. Give it a cool name too!

Create an account at melee.gg. This is the software Good Games uses to create match ups and track your performance throughout the event.

After you sign up, you’ll then be matched up against your first opponent via the Melee software. You’ll determine who goes first (high dice rolls are the most usual way) and start!

Each round is called a Swiss Round where you and your opponents have 55 minutes in a best of 3 matchup. If all the players finish their matchups before the 55 minutes are up, then the next round can already start.

The length of a tournament varies depending on how many players there are. Every store championship needs at least 8 players to run. For example, with 8 players = 3 Swiss Rounds. (4 rounds for 9-16 players, 5 rounds for 17-32 players, and so on.) With each round being almost as long as an hour, I recommend blocking off quite a bit of time (and having some snacks) at your Lorcana Store Championship.
